Events in and around Wells 2012

7th May - Maypole dancing in the Market Place.

22nd May - Olympic Torch comes through Wells in the morning.

16th  June - Country Dancing on Cathedral Green by children from around Somerset.  

8th  July - Charity Boules Tournament in The Market Place. 

August Bank Holiday - The Moat Boat Race.  Local groups race homemade rafts along the moat for charity. 

6-9th September - Heritage Weekend in Wells.  Your chance to visit historical places that are not usually open to the public.

13th September - Night on the Town  www.nightonthetown.org  A wonderful evening of entertainment, late night shopping and street performances around our city.  Why not come down a little early and enjoy a city tour before things get too busy? 

12-19th October - Wells Festival of Literature.   Please see website for information and tickets www.wellslitfest.org.uk 

9th November - Carnival comes to Wells.  City tour available on Friday at 2pm.  Please book a place as numbers will be limited.

2nd December - Reindeer Parade.
